Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Produce detailed design and analysis of conversions, upgrades, fixed and floating structures
- Structural design of Jack-up and semi-submersibles
- Project management of design projects
- Prepare proposals for bids and tenders
- Liaise with clients to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction
- Provide mentoring and coaching to team members
- Ensure compliance with current legislation, industry standards and company procedures
- Review, comment and verify contractor’s engineering, focusing on the seabed foundations, steel structure, and components including valves and fittings
- Assist with the management of the pipeline design and installation contractors
- Prepare and present technical dossiers, technical specifications and scope of work
- Implement project control procedures
- Maintains documented and verified records
- Review and comment on specifications, requisitions, designs, procedures, layout arrangements and all documentation issued by the installation contractors
Requirements/Knowledge
- Diploma/Degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent
- 5-10 Years offshore working experience in Structural Engineering
- Jack-up, FPSO or FSO experience
- Experience of FEA packages, such as SACS, ANSYS and STAADPRO
- Knowledge of materials used within the discipline
- Knowledge on topside skid base construction is an advantage.
- Excellent AUTOCAD and PC skills, especially with Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical & problem solving skills with attention to details
- Excellent communication skills
- Commissioning and Field experience preferably working in a Yard
- Good interpersonal skills
